The 3 Practices
It started in Peoria of all places, with a rabbi, an imam, and a born-again preacher proving that when people like each other the rules change.
This is something we knew from lived experience … these guys let us into their friendship and enabled us to study ideological opponents crossing the difference divide without surrendering their core beliefs.
Now we’re helping communities large and small learn three practices and one skill.
The 3 Practices are:
1. I’ll be unusually interest in others
2. I will stay in the room with difference
3. I will stop comparing my best with your worst
The skill is learning to nurture and express genuine, deep curiosity.
